MULTITERM WORKSHOP FOR TRADOS USERS

OBJECTIVES
• Learn how to use the Terminology Recognition feature of Trados with MultiTerm.
• Learn how to create MultiTerm glossaries from scratch.
• Learn how to import glossaries from Word and Excel format into MultiTerm.
• Learn how to exchange MultiTerm glossaries with others.
• Learn how to add new terms directly from Word while translating.

Many translators shy away from using the Terminology Recognition feature of Trados, mainly because MultiTerm’s interface is not the most user-friendly. However, this workshop will show you the “friendly” side of MultiTerm (versions iX and 7) and teach you the basics that will enable you to use it easily to make your translation work more efficient. A “MultiTerm Quick Guide” handout will be provided.

Note that this is NOT a hands-on workshop. You do NOT need to bring a computer to this workshop.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
• Novice and experienced Trados users who feel that they don’t know how to benefit from MultiTerm and the Terminology Recognition feature of Trados.

NCTA organizes various Trados workshops every year. For more information, see www.ncta.org.
